The opposition members on Thursday protested in the National Assembly by raising slogans and tearing copies of agenda, besides gathering in front of the Speaker's dais, during Federal Minister for Communication Murad Saeed's speech. At the start of the session, Munaza Hassan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who was chairing the session, gave the floor to the minister on a point of order.

The minister in his speech started criticising both the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) over their wrong policies. "Both the parties are 'hand in glove with each other' against the people of Pakistan," the minister alleged.

On the remarks of the minister, the members of PML-N and PPP stood up and started shouting slogans "Go Niazi go." They tore the copies of the agenda during the speech of the minister and some members gathered in front of the Speaker's dais and asked her to also give floor to the opposition members.

While speaking on the floor during noise of the opposition member, Saeed said that the opposition did not have the courage to listen to him. He said that Zardari says that he teaches politics to them. "Forgive us for God's sake, children are dying of hunger and lack of water in Sindh." He said that Zardari should teach politics to his son Bilawal.

He said the IG Sindh has submitted a report in the Supreme Court which said that 12,000 police officials are found involved in crimes. The federal minister said, "Look at the love of those who used to say of dragging Zardari on the streets. This is actually wheeling and dealing against the nation."

He said that the US was calling for 'do more' in the past, but after Imran Khan became the prime minister, Trump is asking for our [Pakistan] help. In his charged speech, the minister said President PML-N Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah are found guilty in the Model Town carnage, adding justice will be dispensed in the matter.
